چکیده

The aim of this study was to explore the characteristics blaCTX-M-27 carriage and mobilization in Salmonella Escherichia coli isolates from food-producing animals China. A total 2280 E. 229 collected food June 2003 September 2014 were screened for presence gene. blaCTX-M-27-positive typed plasmid DNA sequenced determine genetic context types present. Bacterial fitness evaluated by growth curve stability vitro. CTX-M-27-positive (18, 0.79 %) (34, 14.85 detected. PFGE profiles strains revealed a wide variety genotypes S. Indiana most prevalent serotype. Replicon typing, S1-PFGE hybridization CTX-M-27-carrying plasmids confirmed that gene located on IncFII (12/18), IncN (4/18), non-typeable (2/18) P1-like bacteriophage (21/34), IncP (4/34), IncFIB (2/34), IncHI2 IncA/C (1/34) Salmonella. Comparison analysis they shared same structure contained an identical with Tn1721-like ΔISEcp1B-blaCTX-M-27-IS903D-iroN-Δmap-Tn1721. In addition, tests indicated more stable than absence cefotaxime selective pressure. These results demonstrate transposons harboring CTX-M-27 could be mobilized between different disseminated among

Corrigendum: Characterization of a P1-like bacteriophage carrying CTX-M-27 in Salmonella spp. resistant to third generation cephalosporins isolated from pork in China

The aim of this study was to elucidate the epidemiology of third generation cephalosporin resistant Samonella isolates from pork of a slaughterhouse in China and the features of transferable elements carrying blaCTX-M genes. One hundred and twenty-six (7.3%) Salmonella isolates were identified; S. Derby and S. Rissen were the most two prevalent serotypes. Among these isolates 20 (15.8%) were re...

Characterization of plasmids harboring blaCTX-M and blaCMY genes in E. coli from French broilers

Resistance to extended-spectrum cephalosporins (ESC) is a global health issue. The aim of this study was to analyze and compare plasmids coding for resistance to ESC isolated from 16 avian commensal and 17 avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) strains obtained respectively at slaughterhouse or from diseased broilers in 2010-2012. Plasmid DNA was used to transform E. coli DH5alpha, and the re...

Characterization of blaCTX-M IncFII plasmids and clones of Escherichia coli from pets in France.

OBJECTIVES To characterize bla(CTX-M) IncFII plasmids and clones of Escherichia coli from cats and dogs and to compare them with bla(CTX-M) IncFII plasmids reported in humans. METHODS From December 2006 to April 2010, 518 E. coli isolates from clinical infections in cats and dogs were screened for extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) production. Antimicrobial susceptibility was performed by d...

Comparative analysis of IncHI2 plasmids carrying blaCTX-M-2 or blaCTX-M-9 from Escherichia coli and Salmonella enterica strains isolated from poultry and humans.

Salmonella enterica bla(CTX-M-2) and bla(CTX-M-9) plasmid backbones from isolates from Belgium and France were analyzed. The bla(CTX-M-2-)plasmids from both human and poultry isolates were related to the IncHI2 pAPEC-O1-R plasmid, previously identified in the United States in avian Escherichia coli strains; the bla(CTX-M-9) plasmids were closely related to the IncHI2 R478 plasmid.
